To mark George Bernard Shaw’s visit to The University of Hong Kong in 1933, the Consulate General of Ireland to Hong Kong and Macao & The University of Hong Kong Libraries are delighted to present a lunchtime screening: My Astonishing Self: Gabriel Byrne on George Bernard Shaw.

About the event
To mark George Bernard Shaw’s visit to The University of Hong Kong in 1933, the Consulate General of Ireland to Hong Kong and Macao & The University of Hong Kong Libraries are delighted to present a lunchtime screening: My Astonishing Self: Gabriel Byrne on George Bernard Shaw, a passionate and timely one-hour documentary jointly commissioned by RTÉ, Ireland’s National Television and Radio Broadcaster and the BBC. The documentary is narrated by internationally-renowned Irish actor Gabriel Byrne and features contributions from President of Ireland Michael D. Higgins, actors Gemma Arterton & Ralph Fiennes, historians Fintan O’Toole, Rachel Holmes and Diarmaid Ferriter.
