About the event

The upcoming ceremony celebrates the 10-year anniversary of the innovative Chi Wah Learning Commons, a shared space at the University of Hong Kong. We, Information Technology Services (ITS), express our gratitude to Dr. Colin Lam's generous donation, which has created a comfortable and conducive learning environment for students, teachers, and other stakeholders.

The event offers attendees the opportunity to learn about the evolution of Chi Wah Learning Commons and its profound impact on HKU's students and staff through speeches and testimonials from university leaders, JUCC members, and staff. After the ceremony, a Hybrid Teaching and Learning Summit is scheduled, featuring Microsoft's demonstration of the latest information on Azure OpenAI's applications for education, enhancing attendees' understanding of its functionalities and promoting innovative thinking for future education developments. Guest speakers from other institutions will also share their experiences and insights on hybrid teaching and learning, covering various topics such as physical learning environments, eLearning platforms, and e-assessment.

Our goal is to create a platform for exchanging perspectives and ideas on teaching and learning, benefiting all participants and promoting the advancement of education in Hong Kong. The event promises to be a memorable occasion for all involved, building relationships and knowledge-sharing among professionals in education.
